QUINCY (WGEM) – Starting January 1, 2025, Clarity Healthcare will begin a new partnership with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department to offer on-call mobile crisis intervention for mental health and substance abuse emergencies.
The partnership will enable deputies to call upon health professionals for immediate support when responding to crisis situations, providing critical assistance during mental health or substance abuse-related calls.
Clarity Healthcare already has a similar agreement in place with the Quincy Police Department, offering vital on-site mental health intervention during emergency responses.
“We’ll provide on-site mental health support, assessing whether individuals need a higher level of care, including hospitalization. But our primary goal is to support law enforcement officers by giving them the resources they need, allowing them to safely return to the community,” said Stacey Juilfs, vice president of Integrated Health Services at Clarity Healthcare.
Currently, Clarity Healthcare employs six on-call crisis professionals. The organization plans to expand the team by adding five more specialists next year to meet the increasing demand for mobile crisis services.
