Jeep Run to Support Student Mental Health in Door County

The United Way of Door County is revving up support for student mental health with a Jeep Poker Run fundraiser on May 10. The event benefits STRIDE, a local program offering one-on-one counseling to students across Door County. Registration kicks off at Kitty O’Reilly’s in Sturgeon Bay, followed by a scenic poker run with stops at local favorites like AC Tap and Lake Fire Winery. The event wraps up at The Thirsty Cow Taphouse in Baileys Harbor with live music, prizes, and a $500 award for the best poker hand. Registration is $50 per player and includes breakfast.

Brightline Opens First In-Person Pediatric Mental Health Clinic in NYC

On a broader scale, Brightline, a digital-first pediatric mental health provider, has opened its first in-person clinic in Brooklyn, with more clinics planned in New York and beyond. The clinic offers comprehensive psychological testing, therapy, and psychiatry for conditions like ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. CEO Naomi Allen emphasized the importance of early intervention and tailored care, with a focus on measurement-based treatment and family involvement. Brightline also continues to expand its BrightLife Kids program in California, offering free behavioral coaching to families with children under 13.
