HIGHLANDS, Scotland – Mikeysline, a local mental health charity, has raised an impressive £41,000 during its annual golf day, exceeding the 2024 fundraising target by £7,000.

The event, held at the prestigious Royal Dornoch Golf Club and Kingsmills Hotel, featured a day of golf on the championship course followed by a three-course meal, silent auction, and entertainment in Inverness. The team from Dornoch Golf Club, known as The Captains, claimed victory in the competition.

Emily Stokes, Chief Executive of Mikeysline, expressed her gratitude for the event’s success, stating, “It was a joy to return to the Royal Dornoch, the home of our first ever Golf Day, and to be back at the Kingsmills Hotel, who are such great supporters of ours. The weather was very much on our side, and as a charity that receives no statutory funding, this phenomenal amount will make a massive difference to our mental health and suicide prevention services throughout the Highlands, Islands, and Moray.”

Stokes also congratulated the winners of the Mikeysline Cup, The Captains, along with the second and third-place teams, RJ Macleod and Accord.

All funds raised will support Mikeysline’s vital work in mental health and suicide prevention across the region.
