In its continued effort to provide world-class care to Veterans in south-central Pennsylvania, the VA Lebanon Healthcare System held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the newly expanded and remodeled Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic on Wednesday, March 12. This renovation is the third and final phase of the behavioral and mental health treatment space. This phase remodeled 6,000 square feet of space, which includes six private offices, three shared offices, six cubicle workstations, and a conference room. The total result of the 23,000 square foot renovation is 45 consultation rooms, a registration area, two triage areas, two waiting rooms, 10 offices, eight bathrooms, and four group rooms.

The $1.4 million space, set in a warm, calm, and peaceful environment, will house a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians ready to support Veterans’ behavioral health needs through treatment and evidence-based programs. The new clinic will provide veterans with a comfortable space focused on reducing stress and anxiety while promoting timely care, collaborative care, and focus on the Veteran’s recovery goals.

“By creating this space, we are improving the care environment,” said Deputy Chief of Staff Piro Rjepaj, MD. “Our commitment to our Veterans is unwavering. Our promise to them is to do our best every day, always; we want them to experience healing, wholeness, and peace for themselves.”

The VA Lebanon Health Care System is one of 170 medical centers across the United States whose sole purpose is to provide world-class care to America’s Veterans. The Lebanon VAMC serves nine counties in south-central Pennsylvania, including Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill, and York counties. The Lebanon VAMC also oversees community clinics in Mechanicsburg, Pottsville, Willow Street, Wyoming, and York. If you are a veteran, you may be eligible for care and benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
