Texas Health Resources has appointed Julie Balluck as the health system’s new Chief Nurse Executive, effective February 23. Balluck previously served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford for the past five years. She will take over the role from Mary Robinson, who recently retired after a distinguished 40-year career with the organization.

In her new role, Balluck will oversee all nursing practices across Texas Health and collaborate closely with Andrew Masica, M.D., MSCI, Chief Medical Officer, and other leaders to ensure safe, reliable care for patients. Her leadership is seen as key to advancing Texas Health’s nursing practices and maintaining its reputation for high-quality care.

Medical City Healthcare Expands Mental Health Access with $50 Million Center

Medical City Healthcare is significantly expanding mental health services in Tarrant County with the opening of the new $50 million, 88-bed Medical City Mental Health & Wellness Center | Alliance on February 3. The facility offers adult inpatient and outpatient care, with plans to include adolescent services in the near future.

Allen Harrison, President of Medical City Healthcare, emphasized that the new center integrates the best practices and broad resources of the entire Medical City system, ensuring holistic, comprehensive care for those facing mental health challenges. Krzysiak, who has served as CFO since 2014, will now also oversee operational strategy as part of his expanded role.
